I'm going to assume that some of these projects are taking place in friends and family homes because with how much you've been sharing on YHL, I can't imagine there would be 250 more things around your house you could keep secret and wouldn't show up in photos.

Gravitation potential energy at the top (in the pocket) equals mass x gravity x height, but since you didn't give the height in your problem statement I can't give you a numerical answer. Kinetic energy is 0. 5 x mass x velocity^2. Velocity at the top is zero therefore so is the kinetic energy. Kinetic energy increases as the nickel falls, while potential energy decreases. At any given point in the fall, the decrease in potential energy is equal to the increase in kinetic energy, so you can easily solve for the velocity.

If I remembered the height of the monument,
this would be so easy, . . .

But I don't.

The fool who was up, on top of the monument, instead of concentrating on the problem at hand - how to remain aloft - focuses on the falling nickle. Recognizing that raw materials like, oil, wheat, gold, tin, silver and nickel will probably rise in value, this idiot savant dives for the coin and falls to his death.

Natasha and Alexandra live happily ecver after with our protagonist.
